Ecclesiastes warns that our labor and wealth can feel like vapor, especially when pursued for their own sake. Jesus deepens the point: life does not consist of an abundance of possessions. earthly gain can blind us to eternal loss. Likewise Paul encourages us to set our minds on things above and to let our new life in Christ shape how we live. Here and now, we are stewards, not owners. God gives us resources to use for good, to enjoy with gratitude, and to direct toward what truly lasts.
