Jesus calls his followers away from anxiety and toward a kingdom-shaped confidence: “Do not be afraid… for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.” In a world driven by scarcity and fear, this promise changes everything. Like Abraham, we walk by faith, looking forward to a heavenly homeland and storing up treasure that will never fade. The author of Hebrews reminds us that this is the nature of faith: to live as strangers and exiles on earth while desiring a better country. This final week reminds us that here and now, our lives are shaped by a future that’s already secure—a kingdom that calls us to seek, trust, and give with joy.
