Abraham listens when God shows up at his tent. Mary listens when Jesus sits in her living room. Paul urges the Colossians to grow in spiritual wisdom and understanding through the knowledge of God’s will. In each reading, we see that listening isn’t passive—it takes hold of God’s promises.. Whether through promises, presence, or teaching, God’s Word reshapes us whenever and wherever we receive it. Here and now, surrounded by distraction and urgency, we are invited to hear and trust the One whose voice gives life.
