At Pentecost, the Spirit was poured out not on perfect people, but on ordinary disciples gathered in obedience. That same Spirit continues to work through the Word today, gathering, enlivening, and sending the Church. The Nicene Creed calls the Spirit “the Lord and Giver of life”—and where He is, there is unity, power, and peace. In a fractured world, we begin this series by confessing: the Spirit is still building a living Church.
