The world often feels chaotic and uncertain. Leaders rise and fall, voices compete for authority, and many powers seem indifferent—or even hostile—to Christ and his people. Without the resurrection of Jesus, we would have every reason to wonder who is really in control. This Sunday in our Life to the Full series, we celebrate the ascended Christ who now reigns over all things for the good of his Church. Far from abandoning his people, Jesus rules with all authority and continues to work through his Spirit and Word. Because he lives and reigns, the Church does not move forward in fear or uncertainty. Our risen and ascended Savior is present with power, guiding his Church in his gracious purposes until the day he returns to bring his people home.
