Through the gospel God is at work. Without the gospel we would be just a club of like minded people, but instead through the Gospel we are set free. In fact, only the gospel was powerful enough to set us free. As a result, all we teach and do is guided by God’s Word. Our goal is always Gospel proclamation.

From Series: "Building on the Rock"

God has committed to us the work of his church. He has set us on the rock of  his gospel promises. He has established us on the foundation of Christ and his teaching. Now we build upon that foundation by working together. Together we share God's gospel. Together we make disciples. Together we gather around Word and Sacrament. Together we are a community. Together we give the gospel the effort it deserves, how God wants to use our work is up to him
