Followers of Jesus are made through Jesus’ teaching.. Followers of Jesus daily apply this teaching to their lives daily. Followers grow as they spend time in God’s word and are strengthened in faith, grow in knowledge, and filled with God’s love. In short, disciples are made by the teaching of the Word of God.

God has committed to us the work of his church. He has set us on the rock of  his gospel promises. He has established us on the foundation of Christ and his teaching. Now we build upon that foundation by working together. Together we share God's gospel. Together we make disciples. Together we gather around Word and Sacrament. Together we are a community. Together we give the gospel the effort it deserves, how God wants to use our work is up to him
